I am on the compulsory and voluntary part of the childcare register. on the voluntary part it states that i need training in 'common skills and knowledge for the childrens workforce'

What is this, do I have it ? is it an exam ? confused again can anyone help ?:confused:

Basically either you are or you're not... and if you're not you have to be by 2015...

But that date has been put back once already so I wouldn't panic. :D

I was told by my DO that we have these skills as they were covered on the ICP or prior to that the Social Services course (god I remember that - how old!)

I was panicking about this a fews ago and therefore phoned my childcare co-ordinator.

I was also told that if you complete the ICP (which all childminders have to now anyway) then we are covered.
