Sorry I was having a nice sit down:laughing: She was only here for an hour and 15 mins:clapping: and for most of that time we were discussing increasing our numbers. I have NO actions so I am going to go with Pauline's grading of Go Girl!!!!

It was a bit of an anticlimax really. I had gotten myself ready for an Ofsted styley inspection and it was nothing like. She already had the "legal" policies as they go in with your SAF and the only other one she wanted to see was my medication one which I have changed recently. She didn't look at any other paperwork just said she can tell exactly how I work and trusts me implicitly to be doing what my policies say. She says the inspections are not as in depth as they used to be and she would only spend more time with me if she had any concerns. She was very complimentary about our home and the way dh and I work together and she has increased our numbers(if working together) to 5 under 5, with 3 under 18 months.

She was impressed with my Risk Assessments and when looking at the file said she didn't know of any other childminder using the FSA pack. In fact she said everything I did far surpassed what CSSIW required of me.

So I have to say a massive thanks to everyone on the forum (especially Sarah) for all your guidance and ideas. I wouldn't do half the things I do if I didn't read about them on here:thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Thanks Cathy, I had to have an early night as I was shattered.

Hubby keeps telling me off for putting myself down!! The more I think about it the more I realise she actually had most of my stuff to hand before she got to me. ALL my policies were written before I registered and were sent in with my registration application so she already had all those. I had to complete my SAF and Quality of Care report, so she had more info there. She then went on to say she had been reading my website which also has loads of info about us. I just think it was the shock of how quick it was over yesterday.

We probably won't use the increased numbers as dh has his own job (which pays alot more than childminding!!) but it is nice to know it is there for emergencies or holiday care
