I am fuming

I have just phoned Ofsted about my change of certificate to 3 under 5's as on Monday was told it was going to be sent out that day:mad:

Well they tried to phone me and i was out and have got no answering phone :panic: they need to talk tome about my garden what? I have no idea what this is going on about. I am soo upset! I am meant to be starting a new child tomorrow, what am I going to do? Thinking I may ask mum of other children if I can not work tomorrow (she doesn't do college on Thurs, study day and I now dad is off work) maybe tell a white lie about son being ill:panic: I don;t know arrhhhh

Fuming is not the word TBH! actually i should phone the new mum and say, look they haven't sent me the new certificate so I can't do it tomorrow, then I'll look like a sap

HAve you not been able to manage to speak to Ofsted?

you cant work without the certificate so you are going to have to let the mum know or try to rearrange other chidlren. It depends on how lay backed the parents are but I wouldnt recommend lieing as you always get found out in the end

Earlier this month I needed a variation and because they were so far behind they approved it over the phone and sent me an email saying that I could start without my certificate.

I would call back again and ask to speak to an inspector and explain the problem. Don't give up as it is your business.

Good luck

and mention you wont use the garden untill they have spoken to you about it. Dont know why that should stop a variation

right then!!! after me phoning at least once a day they finally put me through to my inspector:clapping:

I am now reg for 3 children in the early years bobbie!! she did give me correct wording but didn;t take it in!!

Basicly, I am currently 'direct supervision in the garden' and this was being questioned! she has never seen this before and wondered why! From my last house (I moved over summer) I had a low wall which was very public walkway hence this.

So now this is being removed, which is what I thought it must be (after I paniced over loads of things which made no sence!!) so now children CAN have free flow play out into the garden, as long as I can see/hear them (which I would be able to from lounge and dinning room) they can go out and play:clapping: :clapping:

this infact would make my life much easier, when the older children have finsihed snack and want to go out, I currently have to make them wait until we are all ready:clapping:

so how long until it comes haha, she told me she is sending the certificate straight out as she knows I have been very persistant in it coming:p don't know what she means haha

this may be a silly question but do you let your minded children in the garden pn their own even if in livingroom?
I always go out in the garden with them and if i have a child sleep in travel cot in livingroom i sit on my step between garden and livingroom with open door. But i do not actually stay and play with one in living room and the rest is out.
Can we do that

I'm not sure!! but from what she said, because of the freeflow play with EYFS she said this is why she was questioning it! I always have gone outside, and still will, but! after snack if it means the older ones can go out and play football whilst I wash up then it would save me a huge job later! I wouldn't let all the children out (more the little ones) without supervision anyway, they are only 21mnt and nearly 3;), so I can see what your saying!

I wonder what everyone else does do, good question
