Hi I have heard of a few childminders getting their 1st yrs membership/insurance with NCMA for free. If any of you guys managed it how did do it?

I called my local childrens info centre, it was a part of a bursary down here in west sussex x

Mine was part of our start up grant. We were told how to apply during the intoduction course :)

Yip, this is what happened to me.. I got no £££ from la when I started minding... they put money toward the NCMA file, membership etc.

i to get this in sandwell... but been told it can take up to 4- 6 weeks and u cantr apply for it till u have letter of intent or registration certificate

Its part of the start-up grant from our local auth along with ICP, First Aid & Food Hygiene:)

I got mine on the last introduction course from Young in Herts, this too must have been instead of a grant.

I got mine NCMA membership free and all courses I do are free. I live in
Derbyshire.

Thanks guy I suppose I can't complain I have £150.00 grant so I could use that for my insurance. my firstaid, ICP,Food hygine,Child protection courses are all free and I can do a NVQ level 3 from home for free too.
