Ive been looking at bags of coloured sand today and never realised how expensive it was. I remembered when i worked at nursery one of the girls making some for the children but i cant remember how she did it lol. Does anyone know how i can make some? Im sure it will be cheaper than buying it already dyed. Thank you. :D

I made some with silver sand and then put it in a press seal bag and put a few drops of food dye in it. Its quite messy but works well.

I use salt and grate chalk into it. Cheap and disposable and loads of colours
