Right. Done most of it online, but really stuck on a couple of areas. Don't really get it.

The bit 'How effectively is the welfare of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage promoted?'

Isn't that just a bit of everything in the previous few sections. What do I wirte?

Then 'How inclusive is your setting?'. Isn't that just obs & planning etc again - as mentioned earlier...?

And the last two sections, 'How well do you maintain continuous improvement?' & 'How effective is your provision in meeting the needs of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage?'

It seems so repetitive...

Any pointers on these last few bits?

Thanks, Kelly x

The bit 'How effectively is the welfare of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage promoted?'

Yes it's pretty much what you've put elsewhere... you could take a paragraph from 'keeping children safe' and use it here... or do a little story about how you cover beepbeep day as part of your activiites and what you all got up to last year.

Then 'How inclusive is your setting?'. Isn't that just obs & planning etc again - as mentioned earlier...?

Not really... inclusive is about how you think you are set up to include children with different disabilities. Can you cater for a child with adhd? Do you have ramps and a big enough toilet for a wheelchair? Are you aware of the needs of a child who is deaf? What about a child with English as a 2nd language - how would you support the child? and the family?

'How well do you maintain continuous improvement?'

How good are you at monitoring what you do? What systems do you have in place to keep your toys up to date? Who do you ask about making changes ... parents / children etc? Do you rest on what you've achieved or do you always think about getting better? Do you do training? Do you meet up with other minders / network etc to get new ideas?

& 'How effective is your provision in meeting the needs of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage?'

what are the children's needs? How do they vary child by child? Do you meet the needs of each child...? How? Do you tailor learning and development for each child...? How? Do you do obs to continually assess... and turn them into planning? If you use the learning and development bit to talk about meeting the 6 areas (psed, cll etc) then you can use this bit to talk about obs, assessment and planning.

It seems so repetitive...

Yes it is a bit but if you've already said it somewhere else, refer the reader back and move on.

Any pointers on these last few bits?

Thanks, Kelly x

Hope this helps! :D

Yes it does. Thank you Sarah. I just want to get it done, submitted, and forget about it for a while...

I'm running out of hours in the day. I've been so tired this week...

The form is so repetitive, it got on my nerves!

I did the feedback and told them that it could be made easier by putting some questions within the same section. :)
