...........and was graded GOOD :jump for joy: :jump for joy: :jump for joy:
The inspector was nice and all his feedback was positive and complimentary to me and my setting. He said they don't normally give out grades likes this on first inspections (????) but said that in this instance he is awarding me good in every area and that I am on my way to achieving an Outstanding!
He had nothing but praise for my paperwork and wall displays, though he commented that I could do with more multicultural posters promoting other faiths/festivals, etc. He also said that I need to practise my fire drill regularly. Apart from those comments he had nothing more to add. He checked the toilet/sink area, asked where I kept bleach etc, looked outside and around the garden, asked what hygiene procedures I have in place, and about nappy changes. Looked at all my folders and documents relating to EYFS and he was very impressed. One thing he did comment on was that my SEF was one of the best he had seen and congratulated me (thank you very much Sarah - I love you!)
The inspector arrived at 2.00 and then went and sat in his car reviewing my paperwork whilst I went on school run. When we returned he asked my DS where the fire blanket was and where the fire alarm was and my son said "I don't know" - ooops should have guessed that one!
I am really really pleased with my grading and feedback from the inspector.
I would like to thank you all on this forum for your help and advice, without which I would not have achieved such a fab grade, that I am sure. :thank you:
Good luck to those still awaiting inspection - it's not that bad at all. :D
