Hello everyone,
I have only just registered about 3 weeks ago and havn't had much interest. The only interest I have had is for 2 children under a year for a Thursday...Typical thay need the same day, but I need work too, so my support childminder suggested that I write to Ofsted asking for permision to have these 2 children but she said I would need the Nottingham address. She has lost it and when I looked it up on Google I was unable to find it...Can anyone help me???
Many thanks in advance...I am hoping to send the letter before midday special delivery so would really appreciate any quick responses.

I was under the impression Ofsted have centralised and everything goes through Manchester now...
Ofsted
3rd floor
Royal Exchange Buildings
Manchester

You have to write to the address in Manchester that Sarah has given, they will note the details on your file and then they will pass on the details to your local office who will then get in touch with you. :)

Ofsted
Building C
Cumberland Place,
Park Row
Nottingham

Has this changed recently then? Because I was told by Ofsted Manchester that they like everything to go to them first and they pass the info to the regional office.

Sarpix - sorry but I've just got to ask, if you are in Suffolk why would you write to the Nottingham office? :)

Hi,
Thanks for your answers. My support childminder has told me to send the letter to the Nottingham office. I am newly registered so just did as she said.
After posting this my fiance managed to find the address for me so I have sent it off now. Have I done the right thing? Will the right people recieve it?
I'm panicking now cos eager to get out of the pickle I've got myself into of agreeing to take on 2 under 1s :panic: :panic:

Well, thats basically so anything with multiple requests doesnt have to get thrown around the country, if someone asks for a variation and an account question its best it goes to manchester then can be dealt with and passed for variation.
but if its just strictly a variation send away to the regional office, will a) speed up the response time and b) rely less on royal mail, which of course is always a bonus.
just to note, all the regional offices are partioned strangely, something that would strictly be classed as southern england maybe under juristicion of the midlands office, it can be confusing.

The trouble is, what you say sometimes conflicts with what Ofsted tell us, so it makes it difficult to know whether you are just wrong, or in the know
