I did it, I did it, I did it! I finally forced myself to sit down and work through the thing. Only I downloaded the hard copy from OFSTED site (30 pages! ) and printed it off cos I couldn't face sitting at the computer for that long. Then I sat on the sofa with a pencil and just got on with it. My DD (4 yo) sat next to me with some paper and pencils as well and worked on her own 'project';) . My network coordinator is coming round Wednesday for an OFSTED visit (help me make sure I'm ready) so we'll go over it together and I'll see if she has ideas and suggestions to add and then I'll type it up on the online form and send it away.
One suggestion from me - just as a bit of suck up but also, it's true. Where it asks you about how you self-reflect on your practice, list the SEF as one way that has been helpful. I wrote somehting like "-SEF as it has forced me to reflect on all aspects of my setting and to think about ways of improving my practice".
Once I got stuck in, I actually found it easy going. For me, the worst bit is always the procrastination and once I take the first step, I'm generally good to go.:)
