My Ds2 starts full time school next month and so I will need to inform Ofsted. What do I do? Do I simply telephone them or do I have to write to them, and what would I write? Never had to amend my certificate before.

You need to put it in writing, I had to do it recently too when my daughter turned 5 and my son turned 8.

I just wrote:

I am writing to inform you that my son has just turned 8 and my daughter has turned 5 so my certificate needs amending please to reflect the new ratios of the children I can mind.

All the new certificates are being processed at the moment and it has taken me 3 weeks to change mine.

Just email enquiries@ofsted.gov.uk and they will send a new one out in the mail.

I was told any requests for amendments need to be in writing, the reason being that anyone could ring up and pretend to be you and ask for a change etc, they need to see your signature :)
