Well after only 8 days, my report is online. Thought I would post for you to have a read (if you wish).

http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/portal/site/Internet/menuitem.7c7b38b14d870c7bb1890a01637046a0/?event=getReport&urn=EY357604&inspectionNumber=534813&providerCategoryID=1&fileName=/ey/CM/INSPCM_EY357604_14082008.xml

Hope that link works.

Only gripe I have (and this is on reflection), where the Inspector goes on about the ivy in my garden being a hazard, this was there a year ago when I had the pre-reg so why wasn't it bought up then?

Oh, and when she spoke to me about behaviour, I informed her of my 'time out' procedure of putting a child on the step (and not called naughty step) for the minutes of their age (doesn't happen often and it's only with one particular child who can throw a right strop and give me complete and utter backchat). Well apparantly, not allowed to do this. Has to be 'time away' so now need to rejig my behaviour policy (although have no idea what to write).

Overall though, I'm well pleased.

Thanks for all your support.
xx

I've never heard of not being able to call it 'time out' - when did they come up with this and were they ever going to tell us or was it just one of her pet gripes?

That would cheese me off, I think I would phone Ofsted about that one.

Just off to read your report now!

Time out/time away is there really any difference? I am sure some inspectors look for faults.

Good report though:) Well done:clapping:

Well done on your report! :clapping:

FWIW, When I had my pre reg inspection the inspector asked me about my behaviour policy. I'd been told in the ICP course that 'time out' wasn't allowed so mentioned that and said what I would do instead, the inspector confirmed that they (Ofsted) don't like it.

I didn't know Ivy was a hazard! The top of my wall was covered with Ivy but it was dying after being cut off at the roots and they didn't say anything about it at all! Maybe 'cos it started 5 foot off the ground, but I would have thought she would have mentioned it... (Now its growing back at root level so I must find some way to get rid altogether!!)

Do Ofsted expect us to be psychic then about not saying 'time out'? Especially when it's difficult to see why there's a problem with it?
