but OMG,:(, just looking at some of those goals; I volunteer in a year 1 class and a few children are only NOW reaching their ELGs ( so almost a year later ) and these ELG seem to have pushed the level higher again.:panic: .

Yes I know ... Early Education (who wrote Development Matters for DfE all those years ago) are not impressed either - Review of the Early Learning Goals in England | Early Education (https://www.early-education.org.uk/press-release/review-early-learning-goals-england)

Not impressed here either but certainly not surprised. There really is a worrying trend away from what the early years specialists can see is the best for our children.
