Hi All,

I have been registered for 16 months now, so I am due my 1st graded inspection within the next 14 months. One of the minders who lives down the road from me has got her inspection this week for the new inspection cycle, my question is do they tend to inspect all provisions in the area at the same time, or do they only go by dates. I was wondering if I could expect my inspection sooner rather than later?

Any experiences please?

Many thanks.

I think one can drive oneself mad trying to guess or calculate when Ofsted may call.
If you just work everyday as if they might come and keep yourself up to date in all areas then there is no need to stress or try to predict when it might happen.
There are all kinds of theories about when and how they choose who to see, but there are just as many exceptions to any rule any one comes up with... so it is really not worth spending any time trying to work it out.

Moggy is right. Don't try to second guess Ofsted, just think Monty Python:-

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!!! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the [Wilshaw].... Our four...no... amongst our weapons.... amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.
