Hi I am new and wanted some advice.

How long should registration with OFSTED take? Do I have to wait until I have completed my childminding course if I already have a PGCE in Early Years? Do I have to wait until I have got my DBS back?

Hi! Welcome to the Childminding Forum! :clapping:

There is a process you have to follow - you must do a pre-registration and first aid course - then DBS and medical check - then apply to Ofsted - then have a pre-registration visit from an inspector - then if all goes through fine you will be registered.

It can take 6 months to a year depending on when you can get on a pre-reg course... sometimes a little quicker and sometimes longer.
