I realised apart from a Laptop (which they never want to use?!) I don't think I provide the children with any technology...what's expected of us? What kind of things should/could I provide?

I bet you do...

Torches, a clockwork radio, using CD player, TV remote control, pressing button to turn on baby monitor/washing machine for you, pedestrian crossing button, scanning things at supermarket, self-service library scanner, walkie-talkies, any toys with push-buttons/knobs that make something happen, books with sound-effect buttons, ringing the door bell, remote contol toys, robotic toys, toy shopping till... the list goes on!

That was a good thread too!
Mumofone...Development Matters under Technology gives you an endless list of what you can provide under Enabling Environments
Some were mentioned in your 'visiting the garden centre' thread!
