I is an 8 year old included or outside of my registered numbers ?

On their 8th birthday they can be counted outside your ratios but mustn't impact on care of younger ones.

It may be different in Wales.

As Rick says in England they don't count in your numbers

At the moment in Wales when they have their 8th birthday they come out of our numbers. However there has been a recent consultation to increase the age to 12 years but will probably increase the ratio along with the age so watch this space....
