I have a year old little girl who is currently under a supervision order with the social services due to a court case last year. The order ends 31st October this year.
I am very keen on starting up childminding but I am concerned my involvement with social services could affect the process.
Myself and my partner have no convictions and my social worker is very supportive of me becoming a childminder although cannot give a clear answer as to what checks will be done.

I have emailed Ofsted and DBS about this matter and neither of them can give me an answer.
Do I go ahead and spend a lot of money on courses etc?

I really hope this doesn't affect my future career!

WHAT DO I DO!?

It depends why social services are involved - there are reasons why they won't let you register but usually it's linked to adults and child abuse.

Unfortunately the way the system is set up you cannot do DBS and EY2 until you have done the course :/

I hope that helps x
