I finally had my ofsted inspection - after 6 and a half years!! I was so nervous but between the phone call and the big day
I checked and double checked that everything was in order and asked my parents to write their views about my provision.
Inspector arrived 9.30 and after checking her id, showing her fire exits, loo etc and getting her to sign visitors
book she read my sef (I dont do the online one). She observed while the children did a painting activity, during free
play, at snack time and then during outside play when we planted potatoes. She asked me lots and lots of questions (about specific training and what I had gained from it and how I had used it to improve my setting, safeguarding, settling in, how i involved parents)
She also asked the children questions about activities they enjoyed. I did have a little giggle when the children were painting she asked one a 3 year old a question to which she replied "you'll have to wait a minute - I'm concentrating!"
After just over 3 hours she said she was ready to give me my feedback and wow was I delighted - OUTSTANDING!
She was so complimentary about everything and said she was really impressed with my provision.
I love this forum and although I dont write much I do read it regularly and have found it incredibly useful, so
THANK YOU
