It is a very long long story .....and it has to do with the 2 EYFS reforms ...since this govt came into power in 2010 the DfE has carried out 2 and is in the process of altering the EYFS again as we all know some parts are totally out of date

While the govt does all this messing around Ofsted wade in with their own agenda and ...often act as 'policy makers' too.

It is Ofsted who decide on the cycle of inspections...and it is also Ofsted who move the goal posts...I assume the DfE is aware but no one knows if they agree
