I am new to this forum and am in the process of starting the preparation to complete the form, etc to register as a child minder in Scotland. Can any of you lovely people give me any words of wisdom, or advice?

I have completed my Statements of Ams and Objectives and I am working on the policies that I will have in place. Do I need to have all policies in place and readily available before I submit my form? Also how long does it take from submitting my initial application form to there being any contact made or visits made with me?

I'd really appreciate your guidance and experiences.

Hi im newly registered yesterday. Yes u need them all done before you submit then pay your £28. Someone will then be appointed to u and u need to do pvg checks references etc. I was about 3 to 4 minths from submitting my form hope that helps and good luck x
