Hi

I was register as a childminder in 2011/2012 and had an inspection in 2012, I did not renew my registration last year as I wasn't intending on working as a childminder, however now I wish to restart up.

From reading on the website it looks like I will need to fully re register can anyone offer any advice please ?

Thanks

The best bet is to call Ofsted but I suspect yes you will have to start all over again - good luck!

If you did not continue with your payments and registration then yes from scratch.

You now need to complete your DBS, eyfs course (local authority), first aid, health dec and references before you can apply but I believe it is very quick from there to registration

When I was a tutor on the old ICP course I had a very experienced childminder as a student simply because she had forgotten to pay her Ofsted registration fee and she as she had never had to do the ICP she was made to do it - she didn't mind too much as she was also entitled to the start up grant.

Hopefully newtothis you won't have too much trouble reactivating your registration.
