Hello, I have recently given notice to my only mindee parents he will leave me at end of may - just in time for may holls. I gave notice due to his constant temper tantrums and non stop crying after being with me for nearly four months. My question is if I get the phone call re my first inspection before he leaves do I go through with it or advise ofsted I have given notice and ask them to come back once I get other children on roll I have not had much intersted lately and am begin to wonder if its due to me not being graded.

I have a plan little one will not have a nap, on leave my side if I have inspection as this is what will set him off for hours. ( once he starts crying will not stop until gets own way)

What would you do?

Thanks

I would go ahead. I don't think you'll be able to postpone the inspection anyway. But even if you could, you run the risk of being inspected without children and not getting a grading at all til the next inspection cycle.

There has recently been a slight change in inspections where there are no children on roll
The inspection will take place but it looks like the downgrading has been removed...the cm will be inspected to ensure she can remain registered

See Ofsted latest publication 'Inspecting providers with no children on roll or children present'...there is no mention of downgrading any more
