Hi all :) I'm new to childminding and wondered how in depth I need to know this stuff? I have folders for each of the kids and have obs and pics in them but a bit stuck on how to show inspectors my link to pre birth and curriculum. Do you get quizzed on this stuff when they inspect? Sorry in panic mode as expecting inspection very soon :/

Hi Louise
I have just been told that we will now be inspected and it will be linked to the shanaari wheel - all new to me so am going to have to do some research! Xx

Both pre-birth to 3 and the curriculum are guidance not statutory - so while it is important that you are aware of them and using them to raise outcomes for the children, the most important document you must comply with is still the National Standards ...
The new SAF is linked to SHANNARI as Scottishlass says - and that needs to be well embedded into your practice :D
