Be been asked to countersign a passport form for a mindee. Are we allowed to do it? I did sign them when I was working in a nursery, but not sure as a CM.
Does anyone know?

I believe you can. You must have known the person for at least two years I think.

If you have a nursing or teaching qualification then yes you can sign them when you worked in a nursery you must have been signing them with the correct qualification this doesn't change because you now childmind, if you look on the passport website it gives a list of who can sign, l sign them because l have the NNEB qualification.

I have signed them for over 10 years - no teacher qualification. I do it as a professional under a professional body - Ofsted. I also send a copy of my certificate with each application - none returned so far
