Hi, I've just started childminding and had my first child start with me today. At the end of today I checked my voicemail & Ofsted have left a message for me to call back on a direct line number. Do you think they may be wanting to inspect me :panic: I was hoping it wouldn't be for a few months, has anyone else had them round really quickly after starting??

They may just be calling to check how many mindees you have - so do not panic unless strictly necessary.

I had my inspection when i had been minding for 3 weeks although I had been registered for 3 months, they are not usually bothered that you've only just started minding so if you have been registered for a couple of months or so it could be to arrange an inspection.

Let us know what happens when you call them back
I suspect that they will just be checking to see if you are actually childminding yet. Then you will get another phone call later about your inspection.
Good luck

They phoned me for an inspection and I have only been registered for a month. Think they are trying to get loads done before september. I don't have any minded children yet so there going to contact me later.
It could be something else though so try not to stress too much.
Like the others have said keep us posted.

Hi I had the call within six weeks of registering/minding. Mind you might be better to get it done before September and EYFS becomes official
