If it helps my under 1 has been sat for almost 40 mins playing with jelly in the tuff spot. A great time frame since he usually gives activities about 30 seconds of attention before on to the next:thumbsup:

Anything that makes a noise. Saucepanns and spoons, metal biscuit tin and wooden spoon, beans in a shaker or create a heuristic basket.

I had one that liked to take everything under the table :p
Interesting things on a low surface like a sofa to encourage weightbearing/standing
Jelly is great like kellykidz says - also angel delight, custard etc doesn't matter if they eat it (providing no allergy/ not veggie etc)
water play
treasure basket
balls to encourage crawling
Basically anything to explore
