I am going mad....

I have logged onto the Ofsted online site and clicked on register for SEF. it asks for the Ofsted security tokem. I have put it in and it won't recognise me!!!!!!

Now of course its Sunday and not open, I have emailed them, but won't get a response until tomorrow at the earliest- I find the whole thing a nightmare.

Any ideas on how to get around this or will I just have to wait. I was going to spend the day typing this thing up, as due my first graded inspection soon, and want to get organised. I have just been shouting at the computer, not very happy at the moment!

I'm not sure why it would do that. I'd type it onto a word document then when you can get onto it copy and paste what you've written.

I suggest you do it on your computer - upload it when you have time without any pressure.

Thanks for the tips. Have taken a break from it. Going to get a cup of tea (wish it could be stronger) and type it up in word. Least not a whole day ruined.

I find going in through the government gateway (not ofsted site) is the only way to get it to work.

Have you got your government I'd and password? You need that before you can complete sef online.

Yeah I have ousted token, Id code. All the stuff needed but won't recognise me!

I can get into the ousted online and then click on the register for SEF box and follow the links to put in the info I have , but it doesn't like it?

What way are you trying to do it? I find it is so confusing. And making me madder that it says I don't exist, but will let me log in so far! So I must be half recognised!!!

Have spent all afternoon, typing it on to word. And really not happy with what I have wrote, why is it so confusing.

yeah I have done that too. it still doesn't like me. emailed them twice. spoke to lady on phone and no luck so have complained.

sef helpline rang today, but was in middle of feeding mindee and not good time as need me to log on.

seems you get one Ofsted token (so women on phone was wrong to tell me she could send another!). I only have the one token number. one user ID. so lets hope they phone when mindee asleep tomorrow or wont get it sorted then either!
