Ask them how to restrain a child. For example a child who has been badly burned but you still need to hold the burnt area under water...when they don't want you to and I would imagine struggle considerably
Hope the above makes sense. I know that you would just find a way but I always wonder if there's an easier way.

I was shocked at how upset I was at the thought of some of it. I think it helped going through it so I wouldn't be so sickened at the time. So prepare yourself for thinking about hurt little children :(

I've just completed mine, I would definitely say think 'common sense'! Always go with your gut instinct, do you risk moving a child that could have a broken back just so you can resuscitate them? Well yes as not breathing is far more serious! and as previously mentioned, it can be upsetting!

Go dressed for lying on the ground and getting into all kinds of positions on the floor!

Take a bottle of water to keep hydrated. It was stuffy and hot on my course and I ended up having a fainting spell - fortunately we had just covered fainting that morning, so everyone knew what to do!

We did a lot of role play this time but 3yrs ago did hardly any. I learnt so much more this time round so although I wasn't that impressed with the role play, I did enjoy it as I got into it.
Some bits can be upsetting if you have had experience of it. I had to go out for air as I had a bit of a 'do' when we looked at choking as my 12yr old son had choked and I had to do chest thrusts on him so that was difficult. Another lady found it hard to do the 'unconscious baby in a cot' due to one of her relatives having a cot death, so its all pretty intense. :(
Just wear comfy clothes, wash and brush your teeth ...lol I had to do some stuff which involved getting right down to listen to peoples breathing
