Best thing to do is get in touch with your local council, find out when they are doing a meeting regarding the childcare courses and you can book yourself on for free, find out whats involved, costs and the process and then decide if its something you want to do x

My local authority ran "finding out about child minding" courses. From that I discovered which course I needed to go on in order to qualify. And take no notice if the local authority tells you they don't need any more minders! They told me that but I could see there was a niche in the market at my daughter's school and I currently have five children on my books after two years minding.
