Got 'Outstanding' in 2 areas and 'Good' in 3 areas!! I am over the moon as it was my first ever inspection and I have only been minding since February 08!!

Only quibble i had with her was this:

When i asked how i could improve on good......i was told:

'You can't really because thats not how it works......Good simply means everthing is great/perfect and there are no issues!'

So I asked...........'What is the difference between Outstanding and Good then?'

She replied...........'Outstanding means that the area of your setting has a WOW factor':rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Emma don't let that get you down - you are obviously doing a fantastic job!!

I know what you mean with the grading system. I know people who don't put 1/2 as much effort into the minding & planning that i do & they to have the same grade as me.

But remember - you also got OUTSTANDING in 2 areas.

(just out of interest which areas did you get outstanding? I to got 3 good & 2 outstandings on my inspection - great feeling isn't it!?!)

I'm celebrating alone! Well with a pizza and a glass of wine....dd is in bed and dh is out! Lovely :D

I got outstanding in - Helping Children to be Healthy and Learning & Development.

I am really pleased and my Mum got me flowers so even more pleased now:jump for joy:

I'm still in the same place as you having got Outstanding in 3 areas and Good in 2...something about the grading system doesn't seem fair does it? However I am glad it's over and she had positive comments to share with me which I hope will be reflected in the report.
