I have had a mindee since he was 6 months old - he is now 10 years old and taller than me, I feel there must be an Ofsted rule somewhere that says you can't care for children bigger than you, there seems to be a daft rule about most things.

I'm sure if you read the small print somewhre you'll find you need a tall contract with a tall policy!!!!!!
Plus I bet they will want to police all tall boys under the age of 16 soon because the tall ones can be a huge danger to the small ones.

Perhaps I should write it into my contracts - the child has to leave when they are taller than me, unfortunatly doesn't give them much scope!!
He is lovley with the little ones and they all love him, perhaps if he went round on his knees!!!!

I make tall ones sit down to tell them off ...
I find it very hard looking up and telling them what to do :D

It's not the same when you can't look them in the eye without cricking your neck is it?

I have a 13yr old ex mindee who has been taller than me for a least a year. When she visits I tell her she has to bend her knees when she's standing next to me :D
Just thought you may need a risk assessment for ' tallness '
