Anyone got a daily diary that I could have a look at to see if I'm doing it the correct way

I don't use a template- just a lined notebook. I write as I go along during the day 'Went to xxx, enjoyed xxx. Dirty nappy. Snack xxxx. Played with xxxx. Lunch- xxxxxx...' etc etc. Parents write a paragraph or two themselves each morning too. If ti is working for you then it is fine, there is no right way, maybe talk to parents to see if it is working for them.

As above, I just use a notebook and write as I go along, adding photo's if needed. Parents take book home at weekend and write comments. Apart from one parent who get's it in email form as that's best for her.

I use a ready made diary that I got from Nursery Resources, simple to fill in and parents like it too

What a lovely, well designed sheet - I e-mail sheet home each evening as most children are dropped off by one parent and collected by other parent or grandparent and they sometimes stay the night there - so by e-mailing it I can make sure the main carer can read what their child has done during the day.

My sheet shows Morning Activities / Morning Outings / snack then lunch Afternoon Activies / Afternoon Outings / Tea and time of sleeps and nappy changes.
