Then said an inspection will be arranged in the next couple of months. Is that standard procedure or should I expect them any day now?? New to childminding so this would be my first inspection. Any help appreciated!

This is normal try not to worry. When I had my first inspection they rang in the January to see if I was caring for any children then the inspector rang about 6 weeks later to arrange the actual inspection. She told me she would be there on either Mon/Tues/Wed of that week, she turned up on the Tues .

Ok thanks for the heads up. When he said couple of months I thought huh... Thought they only called to arrange the actual inspection!

I had a phone call from prospects also yesterday :panic: I also started in May, I'm trying to catch up on all paperwork, it's so hard when you have children, think I need to be more organised.. I panicked thinking they could turn up at any time also xx

I thought the pre reg was more intense than the inspection. When she left she said 'I wish all inspections were like this' so I take that as a compliment!
