A friend has just been told that as soon as child is talking there is no need to do a daily dairy?

I do a daily diary until child is in full time school!

that way I don't forget to tell parents something and parents can easily chat to child about the day. I also use diary to list meals/sleeps/nappies etc.

how often do you ask a pre-schooler what they did that day and they say 'nothing' or just say the very last thing they did!

but its whatever works for each individual minder and mindee!

Apparently she got told this by Ofsted

It may only be a requirement until their talking, that doesn't mean continuing to do a diary until they are at school is bad practice!
