As from September 2013 will you still need Level 3 to get access to 3 year funding? I have been given the impression by someone that you only now need to a Good Report from Ofsted and then to complete a 3 page document. Is this right?

I had a letter on Monday from my LA saying any good or outstanding childminder could take 2,3 or 4 yo funded children. A satisfactory CM could take the 3 and 4 yos. I am doing my level 3 but I now don't need it for this reason although obviously I will complete it!

Your LA need to clarify this with you

Like mtk says it's still up to your local authority - some are still clinging to the previous list of local requirements despite the DfE writing to them all.

Hopefully it will be resolved quickly :D
