There was one set up agencies a while back. It didn't do well and seems to have fizzled out.

I keep reading about one on Twitter that is now gaining lots of signatures but I don't know where it is as I want to sign it.

The forum is keen to support those childminders who want to remain independent.
We have a new Independent Childminders FB page and an Independent Childminders website plus a special section of the forum for sharing information and good practice.
Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/independentchildminders/
Website - Independent Childminders - Supporting each other (http://independentchildminders.co.uk/)
Forum section - Independent Childminding Chat (http://www.childmindinghelp.co.uk/forum/independent-childminding-chat/)
We have also been pinning lots of forum posts to give information about different subjects so it can be shared as easily as possible, for example -
Learning Journeys - http://www.childmindinghelp.co.uk/forum/learning-journals-scrapbooks-diaries/117181-learning-journeys-links-free-help-advice.html
Assistants - http://www.childmindinghelp.co.uk/forum/registered-assistants-co-minders/117086-registering-assistant-advice.html
Help with paperwork - http://www.childmindinghelp.co.uk/forum/paperwork-policies-procedures-permissions-forms-contracts-booklets/117177-help-paperwork.html
We will be adding lots of information in the next few months to make sure everyone who wants to stay independent is fully supported - as well, of course, as still being here for childminders who might want to join agencies.
That being the case we are not currently supporting any petitions :D
