Quick question. Can the cm or assistant be left with 4 EY children while the other does the school run, or do they have to take 1 child with them? Cheers

Logic says no they can't be left with 4 EY children. They are an assistant, not the childminder and you are responsible.

I would take 2 with me and leave the assistant with 2.

even when I am working with dp who is a registered childminder in his own right I take children with me unless they are asleep because he isn't full time / doesn't work with them every day so he is not as experienced as me. It is my business and I don't want any mistakes.

I don't have anything written in law for you though I'm afraid - just what I see personally as common sense and a 6th sense about what Ofsted would say...

If they were all asleep and you have parents permission I would say it would prob be ok for a one off but if one was awake I'd take them
