Last year my mum said she would get me a new super duper pushchair using her credit card and I wouldnt need to start paying her back until this year. I have the receipt for the pushchair dated Sept 2012, but I am starting to repay my mum from this month. Should I have put the whole amount of the pushchair through last September? Or do I just put the payments I make to my mum down in my accounts book as and when I pay her. (what would I do without my mum)Thank you for any advice x

I think you will need your mum to invoice you for the repayments but someone else may tell you differently

or get your mum to give you a receipt each time you make a payment

That's what I would do too. What a kind mum you have.

I would write up some form of agreement between you and your mum i.e: £xx borrowed from xyz for the purchase of pushchair to be paid back at £xx per month for x months starting on... attach original receipt to it and you both sign. Buy a receipt book and put it through your accounts every month.

I would just put the receipt through in 12/13 accounts.
