Had the call. My first graded. I was registered december and so to hear now was a bit un expected and i must of sounded a right numpty on tge phone as i couldnt here her and my lil one was clinging to me and playin up wanting to go in the bathroom. She wanted a run down of what activities we do on which days and also what children are in on what days. Bare in mind i have an assistant in on a tue all day due to 2 half day children and have my assistant in again on the wed for afternoons....i wondered why they needed to know.

Anyway they said either week startin 13th or 20th :(

Is there any advice im so nervous. You know when u feel "ok" but worried there is somethin ur not doin?!?!?!?!?! :( i could cry im so nervous i cant think

I had that call about 2/3 weeks ago. You also get a call from the inspector with the date, or I did. Stay focused and get yourself organised like you have never been before. Mine is next weds. I will let you have a run down the next day as I have my first night at college for my level 3 too.

I only had the call at 2.30 and already have a list - printed off the inspection criteria so i can see where i find i "fit" and what things i can do to improve it - soooooo over the next few days i just wanna do "mission get ready" then i can take it easy till they are here but i am SOOOOO nervous!!!!!! i think as i had in my head june as it is 6 months in june - its only been 5 months! so i am wondering why they are coming.... i think im over stressing myself - how are you feeling?? x

Im looking at it as a positive visit. They can give you areas to improve on and hints and tips. If you over stress you will not show them what you are capable of and it will be more detrimental to you. I can say that with a week to go, not sure how I will be feeling by next weds. I have so much going on in my private life at the moment I will take any grade other than inadequate on the chin. I'm sure my parents feel I'm due an outstanding (or the majority anyway) but I cant show Mrs O everything in one morning so I am not going to beat myself up, regardless.

Hi just read your post and wondered whether you have had the visit yet and if so how it went.

I am still waiting for the call after being registered end of Jan so hopefully fingers crossed they will call soon and get it over and done with!

On ofsted website there is an inspection criteria!

Had second call yesterday!
Week commencing 3rd june she seemed really nice and suprised how busy i am!
She said looking to the end of the week and if not at mine by 10.30 to continue with our day.

I have everything up to date such as planning learning journeys and individual planning. I have labelled boxes multicultural toys not many but hey and sen toys tho again not many. Sen and multicultural posters alphabet number and my body and healthy food posters. Weather board self register visual routine a calendar board. I have a weather station in garden sand play water play easel physical stuff mud kitchen compost play area growing area with watering can photos laminated and in garden displays indoors. Role play kitchen with valti dishes and chopsticks dressing up box with multicultural pics on and books on moving new baby anx starting school...erm....cant think of anything else jist gotta update my sef!! Any advice on anything else?

Wow sounds like you have a lot. Best of luck im sure you will do really well. I'm curious about your weather station. What's that like. Do you have photo?

I havent a pic at the mo. Its just on my femce is has laminated sentances sayin for example "is it raining?" And then "check the rain collector""are you wet""can you see raindrops or puddles" and pictures with them. And in that area with all the info i have windmils windsocks windchimes rain collector and a home made sun dial so not a great deal but it interests the kiddies when we go in the garden

I registered December had a phone call for grading lady said maybe week commencing 24 is a Tuesday but I've looked it's a Friday !!! So I'm abit worried they are just gonna turn up when ever :-/ rang today and they said just wait for 2 nd call to confirm , also what happens if the child is a sleep when there here ? Xx

She mainly observed my interaction with the children was in interested LJ's and working with parents. Didn't go that much into safeguarding flicked through my risk assessments.
She was very positive

Me to. I had the call on friday :( im sooo scared. I have no development logs. Planning and stuff.. i still have my SEF to do.... panicking!!! Ive sat in front of the computer all weekend getting everything organised. I have great provision but my paperwork is terrible :(

I have updated half my learning journeys....they take.the time i must find a way to do these faster and easier! Planning is up to date. Just got to do my sef and 2 learning journeys and im done ohhh anf some staff policies for my assistant

Im not sure they rang last week and said it coule be next week or the week after.
Im so much more relaxed now. I have completes my sef. Wether its right or not i dont know... :-/
I have observations. Next steps. Progress wheeles and trackers. Just got 1 development log to get up today. Weekly evaluate and back date planning... !!!

Im not worried about my provision. I have loads of natural resources and free flow.. so thats one less thing. Just need to get my veg for my home corner lol. I know ofsted are hot on natural resources. Progress and links with other professions. I just had a terrible dream tho i got inadequate lol :-/
