I have a new mindee (6) who is obsessed with doing Hama beads & I'm wondering what other similar activities I could introduce? He's not keen in drawing/painting but likes creating things he can take home. We do junk modelling & papier mache occasionally but this is only really practical when everyone else wants to join in so it's more the individual activities he can do at the table without too much supervision whilst others do lego, play outside etc.

It can get expensive buying hama beads and other type of craft kits. Could you get a craft book from the library and look through it together and pick out a few things to make? He could maybe collect some things from home - cardoard rolls, bottle tops, yogurt pots etc. Does he enjoy lego or other construction toys?
