I'm re-registering as a childminder and am having to redo my checks
They've had them 4 weeks and still not done. I can understand the older you are more years to check! Lol. But my daughter turned 16, 3 months ago and hers us still not complete
Isn't it all computerised so surely should be the click of a button

They say 4 weeks here - https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check/overview.
It will take longer if you have moved home, lived abroad or if there are problems such as Social Services involvement.
I hope it hurries up for you! :D

It also varies where you live, my other half had previously lived in London, and his took twice as long as mine!

Both me and my hubby have had to get one done as we are becoming hosts for supported lodgings. I have had 8 done in the past 10 years and my husband has had 1 done when I registered as a c/m in 2012. We sent them both off together in Dec, hubby got his back within 2 weeks, im STILL WAITING for mine. I have moved house 2 times more than him but other than that I cant see what the problem is. Its frustrating!
