The best advice I can give you is to buy Sarah707 ebook on SEF. It has all the help you need to write your SEF

Hi Missy, :waving:
I'm unsure what you're asking. Do you mean Self Assessment, which is an HMRC process for income tax, or Self Evaluation Form, which is a reflective tool for Ofsted inspectors who can't cope with anyone else's way of doing things?

Sorry I mean the self evaluation form. It's going to take me weeks to complete :-/

Fine. In that case I agree that Sarah's ebook represents the best thing since sliced bread.
(in fact, the best thing since whatever used to be the best thing before sliced bread came along anyway.)

When you say 'received' do you mean Ofsted sent it to you? Are we prompted to fill in a SEF? I was assuming it was up to me to just get on with it. Haven't done mine yet :-/ but will defo be using Sarah's EBook :-)

Reading this I am thinking that the OP is in Wales. We do get sent our Self Assessment of Service forms to complete. All settings are receiving them now and they have to be returned by the end of May.
There is a guidance document here (http://wales.gov.uk/cssiwsubsite/newcssiw/aboutus/providingsocialcare/pdcforms/childrensdaycare/childmind/?lang=en) which offers some advice on completing the documents. It does take some time but I don't think you can truly reflect on your practice quickly.
