They've included pre printed questionnaires to give my parents right, but they don't ask for their details, I could fill them in myself ffs, that's not very good is it? I wonder how many dubious minders DO jsut that and big up themselves??

Oh I could do without this right now I really could. Mind you the other business( see inner lounge thing) has stopped me freaking about this, one good thing I suppose?

Right feeling much more positive now :D

BRING IT ON!!!!

Have just sat and compiled my what to do list eeek!:panic:

Well actually it's not too bad really, just printing up a few signs, checking all paparerwork is in order, prettying up my displays that kind of thing, nothing major - the only BIG thing is filling in my online self assessment, thankfully I found my letter from Care Comish with my passy on *phew*

I am consoling myself with the fact that up here we have 4 grades that are acceptable - satisfactory, good, very good and excellent - so as I am in my first 6moths of minding I would be very happy to get a good tbh - I know as I go on, more things will be put into place and I'll pad out what I do with more experience and knowledge, so will get a higher grading then.

Any help with filling in this document from the Scottish lot would be gratefully accepted!!

I filled my c.c. eform in over 5 months ago and am still waiting on my inspection! Was told it would be four weeks from the date of submission of my form. Its a nightmare - I hate waiting. Every car, every knock at the door wondering if its the dreaded inspection. I think they are waiting for the wee ones to go for a nap, when I have just poured a cup of tea and opened the newspaper!

Blooming hell thats not on is it??

But at least you don't need to worry that it'll be unannounced, they don't do that, they always give you short notice ( a few days, or a week)

I'd give them a bell if I were you?

Told it is to be an unannounced inspection so they could turn up at any time! All the Childminders in my area received the same information and we are all waiting. My friend who is also a childminder in a different area received half hour notice and was told this was last years inspection -also told my friend that she was moving in next door! Aaaargh......!!!!!

But that's not fair, thats not the CC normal policy?? I would be ringing up and givng them what for! unannounced visits are for if there is a problem not for a routine inspection - short nitce yes, but not 30 flipping minutes!!
