EYFS 2012 requirement - 3.7 -

'Providers must have regard to the Government's statutory guidance ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’.'

There is a revised version of Working Together to Safeguard Children on the DfE website -

Working together to safeguard children: a guide to inter-agency working to safeguard and promote the welfare of children - About the Department (http://www.education.gov.uk/aboutdfe/statutory/g00213160/working-together-to-safeguard-children)

You do NOT need to print it out - but you must know about it and know where you can access it if asked during your inspection.

More information here from Nursery World magazine -

Revised safeguarding guidelines focus on the child | Email bulletin | Nursery World (http://www.nurseryworld.co.uk/news/bulletin/nurseryworldupdate/article/1175697/?DCMP=EMC-CONNurseryWorldUpdate)

I have just saved the doc on my PC but it's 97 pages long - eek! I will just have to skim-read it :(

Thanks for sharing though.
