I've finally finished my SEF :phew: It's taken me hours over a few days. Actually I started it over Christmas and then couldn't face it again! Then I had to go back and re-do some of it as it was out of date.
At the end it asks how long it took, 1-2hrs, 2-3 hrs, 3-4hrs, 4+hrs. I'd be surprised if anyone did it in an hour!
Now it's submitted I expect I will get the call soon :panic:

Well done
Well done
Thanks! It's a weight off my mind now. You know when you've got something that needs doing but you never get round to it and it's constantly on your mind. I had a call from Ofsted asking which mindees I had on which days so that was the kick up the backside I needed. Plus been quiet this week with DS and DW going to Grandma's for the week as it's half term. Downside is I missed his birthday and Valentine's Day :( Upside is I get 3 lie ins in a row

Oh poo...you've made me feel guilty now:blush:...haven't even looked at mine since my inspection last March and back then I swore I would do a bit each month so I didn't have to sit up all night again 2 days before inspection (8 hours mine took and Mrs O didn't even glance at it:mad:)
It's all new now though isn't it?I'll have to reapply for my key/password thingy....is it any easier?
Good luck and try not to throw up when you answer the phone and hear "Good morning, this is ofsted!"

Ha ha. I think I still have a month or so, the lady said the inspector wouldn't call until March or April. Ofsted are never wrong are they?!
This is my first SEF and first graded inspection so haven't filled in an old one. It has less sections in it but I still filled in 10 sides of A4! I got instructions on how to fill it in online when I got my certificate.
I literally had to do it this week as it's been quiet, next week I have a mindee starting an extra day and a new mindee on 2 days. EEEK!

You must be so busy with your campaigns and e-books Sarah! I don't know how you do it
By the way thanks to your information guide on filling out your SEF, it made it much easier :clapping:

Well done , I remember it being quite a task when I had my inspection looming and must admit i havnt looked at it since
I went to update it the other weekend but couldnt remember how you access it
i logged into the ofsted site , Im sure thats where it was , but no sign of it on there
I was led to believe that the site saved it for you and you could go in and edit it whenever you wanted to
Can anyone advise how you access it please , sorry to jump on your thread

No worries. I log in through here:

I specifically wrote my User ID in my diary as I knew I'd forget where to find it!

I told my recent inspector that I didnt do a SEF this time, as last time I did one and submitted it in good time, it wasnt even looked at and the inspector said she hadnt seen it! I told her that it had been a waste of time me doing it then. The SEF forms are optional anyway.
