Just getting a bit stressed out here!

I put in a request for variation in December to take effect on 18th Feb. This is for continuation of care; mindee has a new sibling and I will have 4 under 5 three days per week. Mum is returning to work on 18th so I NEED variation in place by then. I chased today for the status of my application and the inspector who has put the panel report together says it's with her manager and it depends on when she gets a chance to look at it. What else can I do to chivvy them along? Will they take any notice of the date I've said I need it by? What do I do if the variation isn't granted by next monday?

Help, can feel my bp rising!!

I'd ring again tomorrow 'by request of the parent' and mention that they are worrying about how its getting so close to they're deadline to know if you're able to accommodate. Maybe see if you can speak to this manager & explain the urgency. Worth a try & if you say it's because the parent's getting stressed it won't matter that you've only just enquired with them today.

The only thing you can do is ring and ring and ring. I had a variation that was eventually granted 10 days after the requested start date! CSSIW are sooo slow. I really feel for you and the family.

Thanks for the replies. Thankfully I have just heard from CSSIW and they have approved the request and are sending my certificate recorded delivery - should arrive Friday. I hope it's correct!!
