I'm re-registering, had my pre-reg on 22 Jan, Tribal said I had 'passed' and that they would process it with 2-5 days and then..... NOTHING!
Just phoned to chase my certificate and was told by Ofsted that my re-registration had been rejected/delayed as my husband's CRB was 'out of date'! I have a copy of it right here in front of me, dated 31 December 2012, all clear! I suspect that they have messed up and are confusing it with the one done in 2008.
I have children lined up to start on 25 Feb. Ofsted could not pass me on to applications team as they had all gone home (it was 4.30 pm!), so now I have to wait until tomorrow to speak to them.
Really worried about this potentially massive spanner in the works. Half way between screaming and crying.

So annoying :(
Hopefully you'll manage to get it all sorted out tomorrow & they can get your certificate in the post to you

It make me so angry that Ofsted expect us to jump through so many hoops and demand such high standards and yet they can get away with being so utterly unprofessional themselves. The left hand simply does not know what the right hand is doing.
The woman on the phone was USELESS and kept more or less saying 'computer says no' (you need to fill in a new CRB application) and, at first, was very reluctant to put me through to Applications dept. I was put on hold for ages several times. Eventually, because I was not being fobbed off, she admitted they had gone home (by 4.30 !!!!!!). I expected them to be open until 5 or 5.30. Does anyone know what time the 'close' officially?
I'm thinking, to speed things up, I might send Ofsted our copy of my husbands CRB (assuming their original was lost in post, lost by Ofsted or misfiled) by Special Delivery and order myself a new copy, just to cut a few days out of the faffing about Ofsted seem to need to do. Both sets of new parents have already seen it in any case.
I've had a long day meeting parents and babies, preparing paperwork etc, so really quite hacked off...
Will update tomorrow.
Hopefully the new crb will miraculously appear, it's amazing how many times it happens! :D

Rick_Knight you were spot-on!
Yes they have now found it - Applications Dept had made an error.
Apology over the phone earlier.
Certificate being posted today
:-)
Still disgusted with Ofsted though - wonder what other mistakes they make?

And someone else from Ofsted has just phoned me to apologise again - He didn't realised they already had apologised earlier....
Left hand.... Right hand....

Ha ha! Normally if you're certain you sent something and they are certain they haven't got it, it will normally appear pretty quickly

You wouldn't believe how many differing sets of (sometimes conflicting) advice I got by email from various Ofsted people (5 or 6?), when I wanted to register OH as my assistant.
Each of my emailed replies got slightly more hysterical (in a restrained way, of course), especially after receiving an email telling me to send in another EY2 form for him - I'd just got back from printing out a 21 page EY2 form, filling it in, putting a large stamp on it and posting it, to find another email telling me that as I already knew, it was a pointless exercise and needn't be done!
When they send out those quality surveys afterwards, they don't get good marks from me!
AND, when I had my pre-reg Mrs O said I should hear from Ofsted in around 2 weeks. After 3 weeks of nothing I rang them and got 'Oh yes we have got your report. Hadn't realised it was here, we'll process it now'. So eventually a month after my pre-reg, my registration certificate turned up.

....And despite the apologies and promise certificate would be with me by Friday...
Sat post just arrived and nothing!
