i had the phone call on friday asking when i was available- i assumed they would be coming some time this week. I worked my bum off all weekend making sure everything was perfect - then sunday disaster stuck and my son woke up screaming, he had been sick everywhere :(

I rang up the woman who had rang me before and left a message explaining i would be closed monday and today due to my son being sick. she rang me back and said she will pass on the message, but they hadnt even arranged a day for my inspection and they were really busy, so shes not sure when they are going to do it?? she then said she didnt think it would be this week??!!! then she asked if i would be open towards the end of the week and then reiterated her point of its unlikely to be until next week??

so now im just confused :/ i really want to take the kids to soft play tomorrow, but times tight as it (naps, lunch and nursery) without having to wait until 10 to see if anybody turns up when shes basically said nobody is going to be coming this week.

i guess i just thought after she rang, that would be it, it would be the in the next few days? had anyone else had another phone call from your actual inspector to give you more of an idea when they were coming, should i wait for that before committing myself to be house bound until 10 every day??

also i dont have kids thursday any more like i originally told her, but i dont want to ring again after she hinted they wouldnt be coming until next week :/

Hi
I had the same call, asking if I was currently caring for EY's children and did I work all week. Luckily for me I explained to her that all of my EY's children are from shift workers so although technically I am "open" all week some days I may not have any EY's children it depends on the parents shifts. So she said she would call me back to arrange a "short notice" inspection. I'm waiting for the call, just wish she would come now, I hate waiting. I've done all I am going to do work wise so I'm as ready as I'll ever be, JUST CALL.

Good luck with yours whenever that is!!

Do you mean your actual grading inspection? If so then I was registered for 5 months before they came out to me.

I was called just over a week ago asking if I was minding children yet (newly registered Sept 12), and if so what days, etc. they said I should expect a call from my actual inspector within the month introducing themselves and arranging a day to come.

I actually received the call yesterday and the lady is coming out either Monday or Wednesday next week (she couldn't say for certain which day but if she doesn't arrive by 10.30am she won't be coming
