Hi,
Just wanted to get a general feel about traveling time for school and pre schools pickups.
If a child needs to be collected at say 3.15 or 3.30, when would you start charging your hourly rate? I have the children until 7.pm and it takes me around 10-15 minutes journey time to the schools. Also for a morning pickup of 9am?
Look forward to your thoughts :)

If I picked up at 3.30 and had them till 7 I would charge for 4 hours as I dont do parts of hours.

I start getting ready to leave the house at 3 for a 315 pick up - so that's when I charge from :D
I haven't charged for travel time up till now as I've been going to the play-group / Nursery / school for my own children anyway. However if I was doing a run that didn't involve my own children then I think I would charge, prob 15 mins as that is the time from home to the local schools, nursery, play group.

I charge from 3pm as school comes out at 3.20 but I have to start to get ready at 2.55 as I wouldn't get there if I didn't as 3yr old

I've always just charged from the time the school ends not including my travel, I haven't any schoolies at the moment but if I do take any more on its definatly going to be from the time I leave home now.
