Does anyone know how to find one so you can track down and read some of their previous inspection reports and hopefully get a heads up on what to expect?
Mrs O called today and I've tried googling the name given, but have found nothing. :(

I just went through Ofsted inspection reports until I found a couple my inspector had done - it does take ages, and then you just have to hope your inspector normally inspects your area, luckily my inspector told me she was travelling up from Bournemouth so when I couldn't find her on local reports I checked bournemouth and found she had done some there - I could see what she picked people up on and could also see that she had never given a childminder outstanding!

Same thing as Hectors House just went through the recent ofsted reports in my area till I found some she had done. Most were graded satisfactory and when she came round I realised why, she was scary and very thorough and didn't laugh at any of my attempts at humour to lighten the mood.
However, she gave me a good with outstanding areas so I was well impressed, she must have thought I was wonderful although she hid it well.:D

Thanks for the help.
I've just spent over an hour methodically going through Ofsted reports published in my county in the last few months and have found 2 by her so far. I can see similarities in both, so will keep looking and hopefully find a couple more to get an idea of what aspects she focuses on.

Just bare in mind that they seem to be looking for different things since new EYFS came in, so may be good just reading through some recent reports regardless of the inspector to find out what the new "hotspots" are! Good luck - those inspection reports are hard work.

It is easier if locally you have inspectors who have been inspecting for years, some locally to us even inspected preofsted. They are easy to find on the ofsted website
I did this too when I had my last inspection (Dec 09). I did not catch her surname when she called me, so I asked her for it at the end of my call, and said so I could look her up! She was surprised by this, and had not know why I would look her up, she said that all inspectors look for the same thing. I replied that although this is true, so inspectors have a 'thing' that is there particular thing, such as hand washing. I said that if you were to find several inspections by the same inspector, and thay all mentioned she did not like a single hand towel for example, you made sure you did not have a single hand towel. She was silent for a moment, then replied it was a good idea to look at past inspections, and that you would be very clever to do what it said. She wished me luck finding her 'thing' as she thought she did not have one.
Although it can take some time to find, I think it will make you slightly more confident at your inspection
